The Gathering is part of both The Shenandoah District and the Greater Ohio District of the Wesleyan Church. Based in Parkersburg, West Virginia, The Gathering strives to bring the good news of the gospel, meet the basic needs of the communities we serve, and create spaces where everyone belongs. With two locations in Parkersburg, and additional campuses in Charleston, WV; Vienna, WV; and Bellaire, Ohio, there are opportunities for you to serve and connect in lots of ways!
Our Mission Statement: “Know Jesus and make him known together!” This captures the three primary goals of our church–discipleship, evangelism, and community. We want to see the Kingdom of God grow and take back territory in every city we serve. We desire to see the people of God grow to be more like Christ daily. And we think both of these things are best achieved through fellowship and community!
